Word From the Editor

Hello world! My name is Kayode Odusanya, and I am the chief editor of this blog. This is my first Blog post and I want to take time to speak on what this blog will be all about.

Nigeria is not just the country with the largest population in Africa, it is the largest black nation in the world. I mean, it is the largest black nation on planet Earth. Fact. Nigeria cannot be overlooked, cos apart from how great a nation we are, we also have Nigerians all over the world making us proud...from actors like Chiwetel Ejiofor (Salt, 12 Years a Slave), and Adewale Agbaje (The Bourne Identity, Lost, Pompeii), to musicians like Wale, and Jidenna...Nigeria is a very popular African country.

We still have our bad part too...with high level of corruption and the internet scams. No country is perfect, but the good and bad parts of Nigeria has made it a country people always look out for. Foreigners want to know about the people of Nigeria and because we sometimes mix our English with a lot of slangs (oh yea, we communicate a lot in broken English), they get confused. Also, Nigerians that were born in foreign countries or those that moved to foreign countries when they were younger want to stay up to date with the latest Nigerian slang. These and many more reasons made me start this blog. And that is what this blog will be all about...Nigerian slangs.
